2014 GM launch Chevrolet SS

The new Chevrolet SS is a shorter wheelbase version of the Caprice police car, which will be imported by the Australian GM division. Chevrolet says that the SS is not in America to an announced plant to be built, its rear-wheel-drive architecture to share with their global platform that also forms the basis for the Camano.
The announcement once again raises the question,

whats up with Ford in relation to a rear-wheel-drive sedan? Chevrolet seems to have learned their lesson, because they made their own rear-wheel-drive platforms in the 1990s, finally realizing that if they want police business, they have to offer. It's almost like Ford published a white paper and distributed it to all live in glass houses, the topics of discussion include the city, the idea of stamping a rear wheel drive Ford.

During the golden age of American performance cars, the 1960s, muscle cars with big V8 engines and rear-wheel drive ruled the streets. Chevrolet's Super Sport or SS models were among the best. The SS can be an All-American muscle car, but it will lend its chassis from the Australian Holden Commodore. The SS had similar styling to the G8 and Chevy Caprice Police Pursuit Vehicle (pictured).

SS models are usually performance versions of regular cars, like BMW M or Mercedes AMG models. Not in terms of the SS to another model shows that Chevy is this car as a niche positioning performance model, it will not be stolen from other major mainstream buyer, the Chevy sedan, the Impala. Despite the changes in automotive technology, and old school muscle car might be a hit.

General Motors confirmed on Thursday that it has a built in Australia, V8 powered, rear-wheel-drive offer sedan budged as a Chevrolet SS 2014.

The limited production-SS - short for Super Sport - is essentially a civilian version of the Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
